Etude 8 (Glass) — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 7 August 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Etude 8 (Glass) (the "App"), a visionOS application by Oliver Lardner ("we", "us", "our"), handles information when you use the App.

The short version: the App does not collect, store, transmit or share any personal information. It runs entirely on your device.

Information we do not collect

Etude 8 (Glass) is a self-contained spatial artwork. The App does not:

  • Collect your name, email address, contact details or any identifiers.
  • Access your location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone or health data.
  • Use analytics, advertising or tracking technologies of any kind.
  • Set or read cookies, or use device fingerprinting.
  • Create an account, or require you to sign in.
  • Send any data off your device — there are no analytics servers, no crash-reporting endpoints and no third-party SDKs embedded in the App.

Data stored on your device

The App keeps any settings or preferences (for example, display options you choose) in local storage on your device only. This information never leaves your device and is deleted when you delete the App.

Purchases

If you purchase the App, the transaction is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not see, collect or store your payment details, Apple ID or purchase credentials. Apple's handling of your information is governed by the Apple Privacy Policy.

Third-party services

The App contains no third-party analytics, advertising or social-media integrations, and shares no information with third parties.

Children's privacy

Because the App collects no personal information from anyone, it does not knowingly collect personal information from children of any age.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change how the App handles information, we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above. The current version will always be posted here.

Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles, you have the right to access, correct and complain about the handling of your personal information. As the App holds no personal information about you, there is generally nothing for us to access, correct or delete — but you are welcome to contact us with any privacy question or request.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
